I still remember the day I received the offer letter from Capgemini, asking me to relocate to their Airoli office in Mumbai. I was ecstatic, but my excitement was short-lived. With only ₹10,000 to ₹15,000 in my pocket, the thought of moving to one of India’s most expensive cities was daunting.
To make matters worse, my father was undergoing a critical operation in Chandigarh, and I felt helpless, stuck in a financial cycle that prevented me from supporting my family. The weight of my responsibilities was crushing me.
When I finally arrived at the Mumbai office, I was relieved to be assigned a role as a business analyst. But little did I know that it would be a far cry from my true passion — software development.
