Going Fast Doesn’t Matter, Being Consistent Makes You Legend — Kabir Narayan Jha
I grew up reading the story of the tortoise and the rabbit. The tortoise was slow but consistent, while the rabbit was very fast, but lacked proper goals. For me, achieving goals is the most important thing. What’s the use of speed if we can’t achieve anything?
I’m not saying moving fast is bad, but you should only go at that speed if you can manage everything without compromising your goals.
I was the slowest person in my school, but whatever I did, I did with creativity and the best skillset — something no one else had. The others were fast, but just copying each other doesn’t make sense, right?
Today, people know me because of my real skills. I add value to people’s lives by using those skills, and that’s why they remember me. Otherwise, who would care about me, right? That’s just human nature.
Nowadays, because of social media, everyone wants to become a CEO by the age of 21, but they forget that the stress can kill you by 40. What’s the use of that achievement if the cost is too high?
Everyone has their own life and their own pace. We shouldn’t compare ourselves or try to speed up without understanding our own circumstances and resources — or those of others. Maybe someone else’s resources allow them to go faster, but if that doesn’t work for you, it can become a bad trap.
That’s why I wrote this quote:
“Consistency is more important than speed.” — Kabir Narayan Jha
