Hard Work Always Pays Off — Kabir Narayan Jha Motivational Story
I’ve always believed in Krishna, especially when he shared those timeless words with Arjuna: “O Arjuna, do your duty, and don’t worry about the results.”
For years, I unknowingly followed this wisdom. As a child, my dream was to become a MARCOS commando, and I dedicated myself entirely to that pursuit. I focused on action, learning various skills to prepare for the Indian Army. I picked up music, even joining the RD Parade in Delhi, specialized in coding — knowing that commandos often have specializations — and mastered practical skills like cooking, which are essential for any soldier.
Writing became a passion after a colonel advised me that it brings clarity and helps personal growth. Since 2012, I’ve been writing consistently, and it’s been an incredible tool for self-discovery.
Though I didn’t achieve my dream of becoming a MARCOS, I’m at peace with it. I approached my goals naturally, worked hard with an honest mindset, but my direction wasn’t aligned, and I fell short. However, that same dedication led me to success in other areas like IIT, Capgemini, and FIS.
The lesson I’ve learned is that if you pursue your path with sincerity, hard work, and honesty, even if you don’t achieve the original goal, you’ll find success in unexpected places. Keep going, and your efforts will be rewarded in ways you might never have imagined.
