Know Yourself, Cause No One Can Understand You — Kabir Narayan Jha
Problems are a natural part of life. When I was in school, I used to think that once I completed my 10th-grade board exams, I’d have it all figured out. But I quickly realized that it was just the beginning. People then told me that finishing 12th grade would be the key to success. I did well, but once again, I found that it was just another step, not the end.
I even got an 80% scholarship to study in Australia after taking the PTE exam, but the cost of living was still too high for my family, so I couldn’t go. Coming from a poor family, this was a tough decision.
After college, I thought I was finally free, but the reality hit that I was now free only to take on responsibilities — caring for my family, building a home, and more. Sometimes, when I’m alone, I wonder if this long journey was really necessary. Couldn’t life be simpler if we were taught real-life skills instead of just chasing marks?
Education has become a big business, focusing more on grades than on what truly matters in life. This realization led me to start my organization, wakeupcoders.com, to try to make a difference.
Most people are stuck in this cycle, just like I am. When I tried sharing these thoughts, no one wanted to listen because they’re trapped too. That’s when I wrote this quote as a reminder of my life’s journey:
“There is always the worst situation in a particular life that never another particular can understand.” — Kabir Narayan Jha
