Real Happiness: Let Your Wealth Buy the Joy, Not Just the Things — Kabir Narayan Jha
When I earned my first paycheck, I struggled to spend it on myself. I wanted simple things like an iPhone, a MacBook, and even unlimited burgers from Burger King. But the hard work it took to earn that money made me hesitant to spend it.
This was a big problem for me — I was earning, but I wasn’t enjoying it. So, I decided to invest in small assets that generated positive cash flow. I used that extra income to buy the things I wanted, without dipping into my actual savings. It gave me peace of mind, knowing my money was working for me, even while I slept.
These days, many people buy expensive things just to show off, not realizing they’re creating more liabilities for themselves. They could end up trapped in that cycle. But by focusing on building assets, they’ll have something that supports them in the long run.
That’s why I wrote this quote:
“You might feel happier by purchasing expensive products. Trust me, being rich is a much better feeling than just feeling rich when your assets work to buy you expensive gifts.” — Kabir Narayan Jha
